on the terrace…
Welcome to the Alford Arms
Well, as we near the end of Lockdown we look forward to seeing you on our terrace and inside our pub – Hurrah!
For sunny days we have our fabulous terrace – if it gets a little chilly we have heaters and blankets – these tables are now bookable for up to six people from different households or more if from no more than 2 households. (just go to the booking widget or call us on 01442 86 44 80 to reserve). We have other garden tables and even a few on the green if it is just drinks you’re after! Of course, we still have the tables in the restaurant that are bookable but if your find yourself peckish and wanting to join us then just come along – we have tables, inside and out, for walk-ins and will get you seated with the most minimum of fuss.
Please just note that everyone in your party will now be asked to complete Track & Trace, so to speed things up, don’t forget to download the NHS App to your phone before coming!
Our team is still the friendliest around … by a country mile … and we have a fab new menu, brimming with seasonal, local treats. As always, we are showcasing the very best of our local suppliers, so what better way to enjoy kickstarting your social life than in your favourite pub.
We want you (it’s essential) to feel relaxed about coming to the Alford Arms, we want you to feel safe and we definitely want you to have a very good time, so we have a full Covid-19 Risk Assessment and you are very welcome to read the overview by clicking …HERE.
We think we have done a rather good job(!) Let us know what you think.
Frithsden! Where the heck is Frithsden? Find Frithsden and you’ll find the award-winning Alford Arms: a pubby gem nestling in a secluded wooded valley. The great Ashridge Forest lies bustling on its doorstep and the broad sweep of the Chiltern Hills is its backdrop. Ramblers drop wearily out of the woods and swear they have chanced upon Brigadoon while locals and regulars swap a knowing glance.
Find The Alford Arms and you’ll never utter the term ‘gastro-pub’ ever again.
