Fancy a walk? Then we do one of the best…
A walk with the a typical Alford twist!
If you’re reading this then it is quite likely that you already know that the Alford is surrounded by some of the most beautiful trails across Hertfordshire and the Chilterns. We are surrounded by the National Trust’s Ashridge Estate and whichever way we leave the pub are blessed with trails that take us through ancient woods, through golden valleys and typically quintessential English hamlets.
We are very proud to co-host the twice yearly walks for the Chiltern Walking Festival – that is suitable for all abilities – which starts out from the Alford, with a cheeky Alford Bacon Buttie, before taking you on a leisurely stroll through our stunning neighbourhood.
Led by Andrew from the Chiltern Society and, our very own, Becky Salisbury you can be assured of an enjoyable hour or so before you head back to the Alford for well earned refreshments.
